Miror B. - Dakim - Venus - Ein - Realgam Tower - Snagem Hideout - Everything Undone

When you first start up Story Mode, you'll see the the main character (WES by default) steal the Snag Machine from Team Snagem's Hideout, blow it up, and make an awesome getaway! Definitely a very cool CG scene! After that, you'll arrive at the Outskirt Stand. Enter the café, watch the TV report about Team Snagem, and then head outside. Willie, the guy with the Pink hair, will want to battle you.

Willie is a real pushover. He has two Zigzagoons, and both are at low levels and should give you no difficulty knocking them out. After beating Willie, you can and should go to Phenac City to the west.

Phenac City

As soon as you arrive, you'll see two thugs carrying in a wriggling sack. Suspicious? Of course. After making a scene out of it, you'll engage in a battle with one of them. Don't worry, he only has Whismurs and the same strategy applies to them as the Zigzagoons you previously fought. Very easy. After you beat them, they'll drop the sack and scram. Emerging from the sack is a kidnapped girl, named RUI by default, and she'll follow you around from now until... Well, she'll follow you around for awhile.

Head to the Mayor's House (first building on the left, after you climb the stairs), and try to go inside. A tall man with wavy hair and a purple suit will emerge, say some menacing things, then leave. Pay him no mind for now - just continue by entering the Mayor's House. Inside, your sidekick will explain everything that's been going on recently, and mention strange Pokemon with a black aura. The Mayor, Es Cade, will launch an investigation into it, and will suggest that you visit the Phenac Stadium in the meantime.

The Phenac Stadium is the farthest building to the north - it's quite hard to miss. Enter that, and talk to the receptionist. She'll explain that there's currently a competition being held and that you need to come back later. On leaving, you'll be attacked by some Team Snagem members, and you'll have to fight one of them. Again, very easy battle. Your sidekick overhears that you were once a member of Team Snagem, and she's a bit nervous about that, but she'll go along with it, and will insist that you buy some Poke Balls.

Head to the Poke Mart (the building that says "Mart" on it) and talk to the receptionist. They won't have any Poke Balls, and will say that they don't even carry them due to the lack of wild Pokemon in the area, but they point you towards Outskirt Stand, because they apparently have some Poke Balls for sale. You know your next stop... Outskirt Stand!

Back in Outskirt Stand, talk to the Shopkeeper behind the counter, and your sidekick will ask him about the Poke Balls. He'll say that he has some in storage, and will bring them out for you. He gives you five of them for free, and you can buy more Poke Balls for 200 Pokedollars and Great Balls for 600 Pokedollars each. Now, head back to the Mayor's House in Phenac City. Upon entering, you'll discover the crime leader, Miror B., inside, along with some of his goons. You'll have to fight both Miror B. Peon Folly and Miror B. Peon Trudly, although Trudly has a very special Pokemon with him: A Shadow Makuhita!

To catch a Shadow Pokemon, hit it with attacks until it's remaining HP is low (for most Pokemon, in the yellow-zone), then use a Poke Ball (of any type) on it, and cross your fingers! Just keep in mind, you can only Snag Shadow Pokemon. Even though you were from Team Snagem, you can't steal other people's regular Pokemon. Of course, you can Snag their Shadow Pokemon no problem.

Anyway, catch the Makuhita if you'd like; KO it if you don't. Either way, they'll leave and call in reinforcements to block the exits so you don't escape - they want your sidekick, and they aren't going to let her and her valuable Shadow-seeing powers get away! You, on the other hand, won't stand for this.

Now, you're faced with three options: take the exit on the left and try to Snag a Shadow Bayleef; take the exit on the right and Snag a Shadow Quilava; or take the southern exit and Snag a Shadow Croconaw. You'll only be able to catch one of these for now, so think carefully on which one you want.

Next stop, Pyrite Town! You'll get a chance to Snag a whole ton of Shadow Pokemon there, so you might want to stock up on Poke Balls and Great Balls at Outskirt Stand before you depart. When you're ready, head west to Pyrite Town!

Pyrite Town

There are a whole ton of Shadow Pokemon you can catch right now: Flaaffy, Misdreavus, Noctowl, Quagsire, Slugma, and a Skiploom; and they can all be caught at the Duel Square, which is right in the heart of town. The Trainers with the Shadow Pokemon use very weak other Pokemon, and even if you Knock Out the Shadow Pokemon by mistake, you can have a rematch with any of them to not only try again, but earn some more EXP.

After you're done Snagging some new Shadow Pokemon, head to Pyrite Stadium. Unfortunately here too a Match is already taking place, so you'll have to wait until later. However, one of the other to-be participants waiting in line will tell you that they've been giving out strange Pokemon as prizes, and that the last person who won one, Cail, is still in town. Now you know you're next destination: finding the Rogue, Cail!

You can find Cail near the entrance of town. He has green hair, so he's rather difficult to miss. He might be a little bit more challenging than the rest of your opponents so far, but even he won't take that much to beat. Just be sure to Snag his Shadow Furret to add to your collection!

After you're done with that, visit Duking's house. It's the house that's southwest of the Pokemon Mart. Inside, you'll see the owner of the Colosseum, Duking. He's very unresponsive to you at the moment, so talk to the kid near the bookshelf. Obviously, search the right side of the Bookcase and you'll find a hidden switch! Press it, and the Bookcase will slide over and a door will appear. Head inside and talk to some of the kids in there. Unfortunately, you don't learn too much inside, but upon your exit you'll see a rather hostile argument between Duking and his friend, Silva, about the town's Colosseum.

After the whole scene there, head to the small house above the Duel Square and go inside. You'll find out that one of the gears that makes the Windmill run has been stolen -- by Silva! Now, you need to track it down... You can find it at the Construction Site that you passed on your way to Pyrite Town. It's the shiny gear in the top-right corner of the screen - press A by it and you'll take it. Then, return to the Windmill and give the gear back and you'll power it up again.

Now you can fight in the Colosseum and try to find out who's behind handing out these Shadow Pokemon. Head to the Colosseum, ready your Pokemon, and then talk to the receptionist to enter the Colosseum fight. You'll need to fight four trainers in a row, but you will get to heal inbetween matches, so it's not quite as bad as you think. After you win, you'll receive TM06 (Toxic), some money, and an escort to the Pyrite Building by a Cipher Peons. Of course, he realizes that you're the ones that he encountered back in Phenac City, so he wants his revenge! You can beat him without too much problem.

You'll have to do a lot of fighting in the Pyrite Building, so be sure to become acquainted with the PC and Pokemon Healing Device behind the reception desk. You can Snag a Shadow Yanma, Remoraid, Mantine, and Qwilfish inside of the building. The Mantine can be quite useful, so I'd advise catching it. Climb your way to the top, then at the penthouse, two Miror B. Peons will have Silva captured. After beating them, Miror B. will project himself on the TV Screen and challenge you if you can make it to the back of the Pyrite Cave -- his hidden lair.

Exit the penthouse, and then fight Hunter Doken to enter the Pyrite Cave -- and Snag his Shadow Qwilfish.

Pyrite Cave is definitely a maze, so you might get lost while you wander around in it. You can Snag a Shadow Swablu, Meditite, Dunsparce, and, from the head honcho himself, a Shadow Sudowoodo. You can also pick up a whole slew of useful items in the cave, so be sure to search every nook and cranny to get them!

To make it to Miror B., from the entrance, head east and take the stairway down. Skip the next stairway you see leading up, and take the northern stairway leading down instead. In the sewers, just head west and ascend the stairs. Be sure to use the Pokemon Healing Device and PC right next to the stairs! Up the stairs, head north and go down the set of stairs you see. Then, just enter the door, and you'll find Miror B.

Cipher Admin, Miror B.
Ludicolo Lv29 WaterGrass
Ludicolo Lv30 WaterGrass
Ludicolo Lv28 WaterGrass
Ludicolo Lv31 WaterGrass
Sudowoodo Lv35 Rock

Miror B.'s strategy revolves around having Rain Dance constantly working so his Ludicolo's Water-type moves will be strengthened, and with their Rain Dish Ability, they'll gain HP between each turn as well, making them a bit challenging to defeat. Try to use your strongest attacks against them, and they'll fall eventually. Once Miror B. brings out the Sudowoodo, be careful! You don't want to knock it out, but you don't want to let it Knock Out all of your Pokemon, so you have to be sure to keep it under control. If you trained up your Shadow Noctowl or Skiploom, you might try using one of it's attacks on Sudowoodo, put it to sleep with either Hypnosis or Sleep Powder, then toss as many Poke Balls or Great Balls as you can at it.

After beating Miror B., head into the back room to save Duking's Plusle. You'll then be taken outside, and will return to Duking's office. After a short scene, Plusle (Level 13) will decide to follow you, hoping to help. Okay... Plusle really isn't that good, but it can learn some useful moves for Double Battle. I'd stick it in the PC for the rest of it's days, but if you want to train it, go for it.

Talk to Fateen, the Fortune Teller, and she'll lead you toward Agate Town to the north, and your next adventure!
