Chapter 3: (missed chapter title)

Like last time, Loudred will wake both you and your partner up, and then you will be asked to save your game as you wake up. Then, walk out to the left, and you'll be back outside with all of the Pokemon cheering to Wigglytuff like they did yesterday, afterward dispersing. Try to move farther west and Chatot will stop you and lead you over to another floor of the Guild.

Up there, he'll show you the Wanted Board, which shows the Most Wanted Pokemon — the Pokemon equivalent of criminals. Chatot will scare you and your Partner about them some more, and then will call over Bidoof, who, after some more dialogue, will show you back downstairs and give you a tour of the Guild.

The stall with the Croagunk can be used to (?). The dining chambers can be found to the west, and your beds can be found to the east. Wigglytuff's chambers can be found just to the east of the ladder or just to the west of the beds.

Then, Bidoof will take you out to the Pokemon town here — named Treasure Town — which is outside of the Guild. He will show you the Duskull Bank (where you can store Poke for later; if you get Knocked Out in a dungeon, any Poke here will still be safe) and the Elective Link Shop (lets you link moves together), although Electivire isn't there at the moment.

Further west, he will point out the Kecleon Shop, where you can buy and sell items at, and the Kangaskhan Storage lets you deposit items, which is very handy because you can only hold a limited amount of items on you at a time.

Afterwards, Bidoof will return back to the Guild, leaving you and your Partner free to explore the town. Your Partner will suggest that you go and check out the Kecleon Shop, although you can check out other stuff, too. You won't be able to return back to the Guild until you check out the Kecleon Shop, though. If you picked up a lot of items in the last dungeon, you might want to go to the Kangaskhan Storage and put some of your extra stuff there for later. (You can press L while depositing items to deposit more than one item at a time.)

Anyway, talk to either of the Kecleon brothers and you can buy or sell stuff. Regardless of if you do or not, after talking with them, a Marill and an Azurill will stop by and buy an Apple. They'll then start heading off, but will run back immediately afterward to buy another Apple. On their way leaving, Azurill will fall and drop its Apple. You will pick it up and return it to the Azurill. As you do this, though, will will have a strange feeling and the screen shifts away to a black screen saying only one thing on it...

"H... help!"

You then look around and wonder what just happened. Marill will then call over Azurill and the two will leave. Your Partner will find the two siblings endearing, and after talking with your Partner a bit more, the words will echo through your mind again and you'll recognize the crying voice from your vision as Azurill's.

Head back to the east and you'll see a Drowzee by the Marill and Azurill that you saw earlier. They'll say some stuff and then Drowzee will bump into you as it is leaving with them. You get that strange feeling again... Although this time, instead of just hearing words, you see Drowzee and Azurill all alone in a strange place.

Drowzee: "Talking won't help you... you're going to get hurt now!"
Azurill: "H... help!!"

The scene will shift back to your Partner starting to wonder what's going on with you. You tell your Partner what you saw and what you think might happen with Drowzee and Azurill. Your Partner will then say some more stuff and tell you to go back to the Guild and talk to Bidoof.

Head further east and then take the north path to get back to the Guild. Go down the ladder and you'll find Bidoof right by the Wanted Posters. He'll ask if you've seen enough of the town. Answer Yes (if you are ready to go into the next dungeon), and he'll start to actually show you the Wanted Posters. As he does so, though, an alarm sounds, followed by the rumbling of an earthquake. When it finishes, the Wanted Posters are entirely flipped, showing nothing, and Bidoof tells you that it has to do with Dugtrio fixing things up with his series of tunnels.

The Wanted Poster block will then get flipped back again and your Partner will start flipping out. Your Partner will notice that Drozee is now on the Wanted Board! The two of you will instantly worry about the Azurill — based on your visions from earlier — and will run off quickly to try and find them.

When you get back to the crossroads between the Guild and Treasure Town, you'll see Marill there alone. Your Partner will ask where Azurill and Drowzee are, and then Marill will lead you off to another location where Drowzee took Azurill from him.

Sharp Mountain

There's a lot of different items and new Pokemon to see here. You will also gain a nice amount of EXP for fighting against some of the Pokemon, like Nidorina and Nidorino (about 50+ EXP each if you use an Attack against them). You also might need to re-equip the Defense Scarf and Deep Blue Ribbon you had to equip in the last chapter, because I noticed that they were unequipped and I was taking a considerable amount more damage. Also, that's another thing: the Pokemon here are a lot more of a challenge than the Pokemon in the first two dungeons. You'll actually be taking a sizable amount of damage from their attacks.

Pokemon in the Dungeon
The Machops here aren't too threatening, and you should only find them on the lower floors. If you are a Normal-type Pokemon (Meowth, Skitty, or Munchlax), their Fighting-type attacks will be a lot more threatening.
Starly can hit fairly hard from a distance with its Quick Attack.
Spinarak is a real pain if it uses its attacks on you. Poison Sting hits quite hard and can Poison you, plus Spinarak can also use an attack to slow you down.
Geodude hits for a moderate amount of damage and it can also raise its Defense with Defense Curl.
Doduo will run while it is weak, so you may need to chase after it.
On 4F and on, you will start to encounter Nidorinas and Nidorinos, which are a bit stronger but still not too bad. They give a lot of EXP.

The dungeon has a total of 10 floors, with the last fight at the bottom floor (so there are 9 explorable floors), so you'll need be careful along your way and try to pick up as many items as possible. Remember that using your items is very important to do, because they will help restore your Belly, heal your HP, and recover your PP if you use them properly.

You should also gain a few levels by the time you get to the bottom. Ideally, you will want to be at about level 9 or 10 before reaching the bottom, because there's a comparatively difficult boss fight waiting for you at the 10th floor.

When you get to the 9th floor, you will find Azurill there and stuck against a wall, with Drowzee right behind it. Drowzee instructs Azurill to crawl into a small, tiny crevice that it is too scared to enter. Azurill will run south to try and escape from Drowzee, but Drowzee will intercept it and you will see a familiar scene... the scene with Drowzee and Azurill that you saw earlier!

Just then, you and your partner will show up and be all heroic, and after a lot more dialogue between your Team and Drowzee, you will engage in a fight against it.

Drowzee can be pretty tough if you are under prepared. It has a full selection of attacks available to it. Its most damaging attack is Confusion, which can do between 20 and 30 damage, so it will likely do more than half of your Pokemon's HP with one strike. After it does that, try and give the afflicted Pokemon an Oran Berry to help restore its health. Its Pound attack will do about 10 damage, so it's not exactly devastating, but it will wear you down. It also has both Disable, which prevents you from using the attack that you last used, and it has Hypnosis, which can put you or your Partner to sleep. You can't do anything while you're asleep, so be careful not to become asleep, otherwise Drowzee will be free to hit you!

After beating Drowzee, you and your Partner will run back to see if Azurill is alright. Azurill is just fine, and then you will take it back to the foot of the mountain, where a Magnezone and two Magnemite will carry off Drowzee. Afterward, Marill — Azurill's older brother — will come back and the two will be reunited after a few tears. After some more talking and appreciation, the screen will fade away, and you'll be able to do something handy — you will now be able to hold up to 30 items in your Treasure Bag!

You'll then return to the Guild and talk to Chatot, who will tell you that Magnezone took Drowzee away so it won't cause any more problems. Chatot will then give you the posted reward money of 3000 Poke, although Chatot takes 2700 of it to go toward the Guild, so you are left with only 300. Ah well, it's still 300 Poke well earned.

After Chatot leaves, your Partner will ask you how you knew that Azurill was in trouble and you'll start to remember all of the scenes, confused yourself over how exactly it was that you were able to predict that. But then your stomach will start to grumble and your Partner will start laughing about it. You'll then go down to the feast, similar to yesterday's feast.

Then, the screen will fade away and you will see a storm brewing on the bottom screen while in the resting area. You and your Partner will be awake while still there, and your Partner will go over to the window and talk about how stormy the night is. There'll be some dialogue between the two of you, and then you will both head off to your beds to sleep. A while later, your Partner will wake up and talk to itself some more, wondering about you being a human and what you were able to see. But, unlike last time, you are actually awake to hear your Partner talking.

Your Partner will talk some more and you will think about what it is that your Partner is talking about, and then your Partner will start talking about some things called the Cogs of Time and how there are three of them located at different spots and then one central one*. (* this might not be accurate, but it what I gathered from my limited translation abilities.) It will then show the shadow of a Grovyle running across the bottom screen in the rain and your Partner will wonder what it is seeing right now. The shadow will then approach one of the Cogs of Time and it will show the figure of Grovyle in the lightning on the bottom screen.

The screen will the fade again, and you will awaken the next day to the loud voice of Loudred, as per usual.
