Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness is the newest Pokemon game to be released for the Gamecube! Set 5 years after the events in Pokemon Colosseum's Story Mode, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness continues the plot with Shadow Pokemon even further. Team Cipher is back to trying to use Pokemon for their dark purposes, and with the power of a certain Legendary Pokemon on their side, will they be successful in their plot?

In Pokemon XD, you can Snag special Shadow Pokemon from other Trainers. By using the Snag Machine and Poke Balls, you can capture Shadow Pokemon from Trainers using them, and then claim them as your own! Shadow Pokemon have unique Shadow attacks, but won't have access to some of their other moves until they are fully Purified.

With over 180 different Pokemon obtainable in Pokemon XD, it certainly joins the ranks as a solid Pokemon title for the Gamecube, offering far more than Pokemon Colosseum had! Not only that, but Pokemon may learn moves that weren't otherwise able to be learned naturally, so for competitive gameplay, you have new options and strategies to choose from!
